Pedigree: Grandquest Sand Castle

Grandquest History

Our family here at Grandquest began in
1984, when we purchased our first Labrador,
Lady Michelob CD. Although a great pet, Lady
was no where near a Labrador of true type.
What she lacked in type was made up with
intelligence. Lady was shown by Jose and
obtained her CD title in three consecutive shows.

Lady was a true inspiration and caused our family to be bitten by the "show bug".
Lady was soon bred and we kept one of her pups, Granda's Captain Blanco.
'Captain', we thought, was our first "show" dog. As Captain grew, we went to
confirmation classes every week preparing for his big debut. The day finally came
and he managed Reserve Winners Dog from the 6-9 months puppy class.
Unfortunately Captain kept growing and growing until we realized he was not of show quality.

Following this, we purchased several dogs from well known

kennels and managed to make a few Champions. Then we

purchased a yellow pup from Canada. We waited two years

for this special dog and at the tender age of 17 months Ch.

Lindenhall's Grandquest Rebel won his Championship. Our

daughter, Janice, showed him through junior showmanship,

and he qualified her for the Westminster Dog Show at Madison

Square Garden, N.Y. Rebel was soon ranked the #3 Labrador

in the U.S.A. and he maintained his top rankings for several

years until we retired him.

Rebel produced two daughters that followed in his footsteps.
Handled by Janice, Ch. Grandquest Sweet Fantasia (Fanny) finished her championship at 13 months old winning Best of Breed and a Group 1st in the Sporting Group. But, Rebel's most famous daughter is International World Champion Grandquest Tattle Tales, "Tattles". Like Fanny, Tattles also earned her championship at the sweet age of 13 months. She won numerous BOB's and several Group placements and managed a rank as #2 Labrador Bitch in the U.S.A. as well as the #1 Labrador in the Southern Region. She now holds the impressive title of International World Champion and is currently being campaigned Internationally.

So far we can't complain, with over 150 Best of Breed's, 75+ Group placements and more than 25 finished Labradors making us one of the top five breeders of the year. We are continuing our breeding program, concentrating on showing at Labrador Specialties and have great expectations for our upcoming English babies.
